8th Grade Spotlight Games

📅 Date: Wednesday, May 28
📍 Location: HUHS’s Gib Mahr Field

All 8th-grade players and their parents will be recognized during halftime of their game. Game times will be announced closer to the event.

Friendly reminders

Our children are not playing in the World Cup. Please relax and let them have fun. By your actions, you can teach them good sportsmanship.

Referees are usually young adults; treat them with respect and have their backs when needed.

Spectators should place their chairs on the opposite side of their players and at least 6 feet away from the sidelines. Spectators aren’t allowed behind or along the goal lines.

Please avoid “coaching” from the sidelines so players can follow their coaches’ directions.

There is no parking on the grass at Independence; you may get ticketed. Please inform others who park on the grass.

Dogs are not allowed at Independence. Please leave your pets at home for their safety and the safety of others. This applies to most parks, so keep this in mind when playing away games.
